    So, I have seen Star Trek 2009. Before watching the movie, if you'd asked me to pin down if I shipped anything, I would have said maaaaaaybe Spock/Chapel or Kirk/Uhura (their kiss was kind of hot, shut up) or OT3'd the Sulu/Uhura/Checkov trio because of L.A. Graf's books. (I think they were hers?) But after watching the movie, I realize, huh, I don't ship any of these people with each other. And yet I'll read fic because, well. I like fic. And it was very pretty. I have complicated feelings on the movie as a semi-elitist TOS fan, but. It was a pretty, fun fanfic movie. I'm easy for that kind of thing. <3

    So, when it was linked on the ToA comm, I was reading about the Abyss background notes, especially in relation to the Keterburg kids and: Peony uses the name "Franz" in school, and he claims to come from Kesedonia and his parents are merchants. He sits next to Jade and Dist is jealous of Peony's closeness to Jade LOL. Dist wrote this on the last page of his text, "STUPID FRANZ STUPID FRANZ STUPID FRANZ", and he pounds his fists on it.

    *heavy sigh* So, even though I've fallen for Merlin, I tried to have some dignity about it. I can see that's failing pretty hard, given that I marathoned 1x09 --> 1x11 last night and then promptly started digging into the fic again and al;skdjflkajs I am TRYING to keep some variety going here, but there's just SO MUCH FIC.
